Progress Report on Path Finder

March 4, 2003

Added a preference for using relative dates in the list view (today, yesterday, tomorrow).

Researching speed improvements. Nothing to report yet, but hopefully I'll get things faster

Added 10 and 13 point icons choices. (Previously 16 was the smallest icon size)

Added icons to alias files to match the original

Fixed a crashing bug when opening and closing a browser quickly

fixed a problem when double clicking in icon view and having the open panel come up.

Added a choice to View Text in addition to View Hex when a file can't be opened.

The date string will change depending on the width of the date column in list view. (1/31/69, Jan 31, 1969 3:30am, Thursday, Janary 31, 1969 3:30am)

I'm working on movable icons on the desk top now.

Steve - appreciate the great work on the new version! it's beyond great! Saw your mention of working on movable desktop icons which reminded me that I found the other day that when I drag text to the Path Finder desktop it creates a "Text Clipping.rtf" text file and not, like the Finder", a "blahblah....textClipping" text clipping file. Kinda hard to drag-n-drop the former. :)

The text clipping problem will be fixed also, thanks for reminding me. Any know where I can get code to create .webloc files?

I can't predict the release date. At least a few weeks.
