NASE SUCKS! Help spread the word!
April 6, 2005There’s a company based in Texas called the National Association for the Self-Employed (www.nase.org). They claim to provide valuable services for the self employed, but I learned the hard way that it’s not a good deal. I was lied to and ripped off and decided to start a website to warn others.
There’s not much information yet. I have to find some time to write down my negative experiences, but take a look at it and link to the site if you can. The more links, the greater chances that the word will get out and hopefully others won’t suffer the way I did.

good input on nase here....
I have MEGA and after my wife had a $24,000 heart proceedure, MEGA paid like they said they would and faster by 10 times than any other insurance company I have had, you need to make your agents work for you. I would recommend them to others and often do. I sleep very good at night, do you?
Its truly amazing to me how Mega Life/Midwest agents across the country can log on here, read the terrible stories that there own fellow agents
are responsible for and justify in their minds that what they are selling and being told to say to people is okay!!
They are blinded by the $$.
Mega Life/ Mid West Life and Health are greedy souless companies.
One of the same. Outragous premiums, deny all claims.
Pres,VP's,RSL, etc..get fat and rich
with rediculous salaries, bonuses, and stock options, all the while the little agents and employess do the dirty work their instructed to do. All for the golden carrot there never going to get.

All mega life and midwest agents lie about the coverage they selling because its substandard compared to what the "real insurance companies" offer.
They are trained to lie and mislead by their managers. It all starts at the top.
I worked for them for 9 years, I was a manager.
I have lived the lie. not any more. life is too short.
There was a recent thread on Mega, that detailed some of the craziness of NASE and Mega. I suggest that anyone who might want to work for them read what some experienced health insurance agents have to say at the insurance agent forum. www.insurance-forums.net
I have been waiting almost 2 months for a refund check because my account was charged 20 days after I canceled my membership to the NASE. It took me 5 months to realize I did not have to keep the NASE to keep my insurance. And since Ive canceled I can not get my refund. I called today and Tony Gonzalez told me to go ahead and call the better business bureau because I would not recieve my check by the end of next week. The check supposedly sent out on Oct. 23,2006.
And then to my surprise the same thing happend when I canceled my megalife insurance. That is supposed to take 25 days to get a refund. What a rippoff and a poorly run business. What happened to customer service. This whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare
I have no problems with Mega or the Nase, The agent I had told me all the challanges that they have compared to a b/s or b/c company. The company has also paided for all my doctor visits and so on. Please read the fine print in the books and you learn this yourselfs!
I was going to go to work for MEGA LIFE and I am glad I did not. Lets just say CROOKED!!

Saying NASE SUCKS is almost like giving them a compliment. They wish that they were bad enough that they simply sucked, but the truth is that they deliberately wreck lives to satisfy their greed.
